The messengers can be practically every enemy hero. Shadya definitively needs to defeat the messengers, otherwise Sinitar's army will crush Shadya, especially if Shadya missed to defeat the messenger just before she joined Raelag. Raelag can get one town and get the troops, while leveling up to ensure his survival. Raelag can get into tough situations, as the Nightshroud clan have 3 instead of one town. When Raelag uncovers the location, he (or Shadya) needs to go there, excavate the tear and bring it to Virbeth, where the Mother of Darkness structure can be built.

The next day, a Warlock named Shadya arrives, wanting to join Raelag. When Raelag captures the first town, the Nightshards will attempt to send their scouts to ask help from Soulscar clan. One city is in the northern, the second in the eastern and the third one in southern part of the map. The Nightsahrds live in caves, accesible via the subterrenian passages in the valley. Raelag would need to capture the cities to advance. When Raelag goes to the surface and goes to south-east, he needs to battle a garrison of Nightshard clan's troops. After consulting with Malsara, Raelag learns that he needs to build the Mother of Darkness, using the Tear of Asha from the region. Malsara lives near the lake, south-east of Virbeth. To achieve the task, Raelag needs to consult to Malsara, daughter of the Dragon God of darkness, Malassa. As the war comes to Ygg-Chall, Raelag would like to seize the opportunity to get unify the Dark Elven clans.
